The secret to a melt in the mouth granita is in the stirring. Using a chop stick, stir the mix whilst in the freezer regularly, this will ensure you have large pieces of ice.
500ml Dilmah Exceptional Acai Berry Pomegranate and Vanilla tea
200g caster sugar
500ml pomegranate juice
Fresh pomegranate, to serve
Combine the Acai Berry Pomegranate and Vanilla tea and sugar in a large bowl and stir until sugar dissolves completely. Add the pomegranate juice and stir to combine. Set aside to cool completely.
Pour pomegranate juice mixture into a shallow metal container. Cover with foil and place in the freezer. Freeze, stirring with a fork every hour to break up ice for 6 hours or until frozen solid.
Use a fork to break up granita. Divide evenly among serving glasses. Top with fresh pomegranate to serve.
